Flash Tower Defence Prototype v 0.9

By admin • Feb 4th, 2009 • Category: Tutorials

I was playing around with Emanuele Feronato’s Tower defence prototype, which I found at his great site here

Anyways its been two years since people have been waiting for (including me) for a third part of that tutorial. So I decided to play around with it a little bit and I came up with this.
It features multiple towers,
Multiple waves of monsters,
Monsters getting tougher on each wave.

Its not entirely complete yet so I’ll not bother to explain the code right now, I’m still working on it and even though the era of TD games has almost gone I still think its a fun bit of coding to learn.

If you want the source file for the above swf you will get it here

I hope you like it. Will post a completed prototype soon with explainations.

Thanks to Emanuele once again!

  1. ehm u can fix the problem with the bullets
make instead of a linear radial math 4 cases containing x and y from minions and bullets

  2. I have been having this problem with so many spam comments (about 300 a day, so it took a really long time to notice a legitimate comment…

  3. Hey! Great bit of coding :P But just wondering are you ever going to explane it all? Because there’s bits i don’t quite understand. If you don’t get round to it can you just explane to me how the hit test for each base works so you can’t place one on top of another, I mean that I understand that it hit tests all the corners with that for statment but when ever i try to use it it crashes the swf :/ If you could help it would be great thanks :)
